Ashley & Steven, a wedding wrapped in Portuguese Soul.

Though they have lived their whole lives abroad, their Portuguese roots called them back to Porto to celebrate their wedding surrounded by family and friends. They chose the magnificent Palácio do Freixo with the Douro River as their backdrop, and the city’s most iconic church, Clérigos, for the religious ceremony.

The entire weekend was a tribute to Portuguese traditions. It began with a pre-wedding cocktail overlooking the river, filled with the sound of fado and traditional Portuguese dances. On the wedding day itself, a rancho performance brought even more authenticity and joy. Every detail of the décor was inspired by Portugal, with its timeless azulejos as the guiding theme.

And of course, no Portuguese celebration would be complete without plenty of wine… and there was no shortage of it! We loved every second and, above all, had so much fun capturing their story.
